The former is very true, the latter.... not so much. At least not during the reign of Henry VIII—- necklines were very low then. When Mary I and Elizabeth I were on the throne, dress got a little more demure, but even then not until later in Elizabeth's reign (when she didn't want to show off dem boobies anymore).

The irony being that the Tudor period in particular doesn't need any sexing up!

This... sums it up pretty well. (Thanks Kate Beaton! You always know what to do!)

I like the one on the far left. She looks like she's going to have some fun! I'd join.

This is what geeky girls have been saying for years!!

Ugh, way harsh, Tai.

Can I ask what line of work you're in? I work service, and I'm so, so familiar with what you're talking about. When I was young and innocent I laughed it off. Oh yeah. I realized awhile ago that I could very easily lose the 15lbs that would bring me to my ideal weight and my 19-year-old body. All I have to do is quit drinking.

Those numbers always make me want to roll my eyes. Four drinks in one sitting? That's like my Tuesday night.

That's such a good way of putting it. My boyfriend keeps asking me why I have the entire series sitting on the floor on my side of the bed— "Haven't you read those all already? Like, twice?"

WOULD BONE.

Why is she holding an egg?

Oh my. I'll.... be in my bunk.

I am so obsessed with Outlander, I'm sort of embarrassed by it.

Don't bogart the Scotsman! Fair's fair; everyone gets a turn.

Young Stalin was my second thought!
