Did anyone think that you couldn’t charge a battery with a generator? This is only an issue of scale.

It’s beginning.
I’ve never bought a rental, but every time I’ve bought a car I’ve gone into it with the mindset that I’m going to keep it until it’s no longer mechanically sound. So by the time I’m ready to get rid of a car, I’m not expecting much for sale/trade-in. But if you’re someone who likes to switch it up every few years,…
Did this when I moved to FL. Antenna and a Tablo OTA DVR for the networks (I get 30 channels here, 35 if I spoke Spanish), and a couple streaming services. I have been into Roku for years, so that didn’t change, I just do everything through it now. Summers in Maine I don’t bother with the OTA, nothing on in the…
Same! Cable bill went from $230/mo down to $60/mo. Got rid of landline and cable, and doubled Internet speed. I love it! Except now I need a clock in the living room, because I relied on that for my time checks.
Congratulations on cutting the cord! I did the same several months ago and have been very happy with the decision. It felt so good to drop off those clunky cable boxes (which the company charged me monthly for the privileged of renting) at their storefront.
Awesome! Get yourself a digital antenna to grab some OTA channels in case you need local programming for a live event every now and then, local news in case of something going on etc. It’s free obviously and covers most of what you would’ve been getting with basic cable that is worth anything in the first place. edit:…
I did this earlier this year. I am saving ~$120/mo because we are splitting youtube TV with a sibling and only have to pay for internet. Unbelievable how much we used to pay.
Excellent. This was on my wish list but the price never came down low enough for me to pull the trigger.
This has gone from stupid to stupid & boring.
And, BTW, for the millionth time:
This is what fake woke and Cos Play blackademics get you. The same folks that didn’t show up for midterms in Barack’s two terms or in 2016 are the ones that are upset about this. Older black voters aren’t sweating Biden’s comments because unlike your ungrateful black asses they have lived through worse. Congratulation…
The upside to Ol’ Uncle Joe putting his foot in it (again), is that Klobuchar is most def out.
Has there ever been a multi-month drop to practically zero for both business and personal air travel?
Should companies be forced to increase their costs (and therefore the prices they must charge) to survive such rare events?
It seems like bankruptcy is the least-bad outcome to society for companies like Hertz.
I have never understood this way of thinking, neither with houses nor with cars. Maybe it is an European thing.
It’s a cash flow problem. Hertz doesn’t have much in terms of actual assets. I think of each car as a small cash flow machine. Money comes in from rentals, and a substantial portion goes right out to make lease payments. So long as there are rentals, there’s no additional capital needed. Right now, the company still…
Uh, Mike Pence is VP. Even Trump said that would keep him safe.
My state is willing to shell out millions of dollars to private corporations to build prisons, but can’t reopen vacant hospitals to treat COVID patients? Something’s wrong here.
