Exactly. Even China where this all started wasn’t having debates about “essential” and “non-essential” businesses. They pretty much shut it all down for weeks. Their energy was 100% focused on eradicating it.

Why are they still running buses at all now? If it’s the “essential business” argument... prove that shit. Not what you ‘think’, prove it.

Well, business owners/companies may not know when this is going to end but smart business owners/companies know when this is not going to end... anytime soon. So if you’re talking a month or two as you suggest, no one who has any sense is even contemplating being able to open by then.

I see Covid-19 also robs people of their humor as well...

Musk could use his SpaceX profits if he needed to, there’s no way he’d let Tesla end up in real trouble.

My guess is that someone wearing a hat with scrambled eggs on it thought:

Might be? I definitely am and thought about this.

1st Gear: Is Now Really A Good Time?

I’m pretty sure he was an asshole long before he was a CEO, with plenty of practice not admitting he was wrong.

Man, this Musk guy will do or say anything to sell a fucking car.

God forbid the RV breaks down somewhere on the highway, needing some extremely expensive and lengthy repairs...

Aww you’re cute.

Sounds like that whole “Snicker’s Hole” thing.

Musk can volunteer to make a submarine for Thailand, but can’t be bothered to retool Tesla to make ventilators?

Don’t need ventilators. Don’t need a vaccine.

I’d NP it just for the stories it could tell...if it could talk.

“Tesla CEO Elon Musk has underplayed the pandemic in emails to his various companies. He said in one that he thinks the risk of dying from COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, “is *vastly* less than the risk of death from driving your car home,” adding that there are “about 36 thousand automotive deaths

Agreed, but wasn’t interested about it from an investor’s POV, more about actual sales. We already know people who invest in Tesla generally aren’t the same people probably buying the car, since those two things aren’t always the same. Plenty of people invest in McDonald’s but can’t stomach the food, same with Disney.

This guy sounds like a woman interviewed by the news who said she doesn’t believe this virus is real and is an orchestrated plot, and that the liberal media was inventing this to bring down Trump because Mueller and impeachment didn’t work and they want Biden to win.

Fifth gear: Is a Tesla the kind of car people would really buy in a recession/depression?
