I’m frankly amazed so many went along with the scheme for as long as they did. I expect it was mostly out of fear, the equivalent of avoiding nasty Yelp reviews.  Not allowing them in at all is the only answer.

Good. All such places should put up firm notices on their websites and facebook pages saying they do not accept unsolicited requests for free stays in exchange for publicity, and will delete the messages/emails of anyone who disregards that policy and asks for it anyways.

Disgusted enough to write a Facebook post to warn others about the restaurant, but not disgusted enough to stop eating at said restaurant. I feel like this accurately sums up America in 2019.

Every time the Takeout staff posts about actual food they enjoy consuming I become more convinced that they’re actually some kind of AI singularity trying to approximate human emotion. I, for one, welcome our new robot Takeout overlords.

Call corporate. They’ll probably send you out a bunch of coupons. If they refuse, simply go back after hours and burn the place down. Nothing feels better than some revenge arson.

Yeah wedding food isn’t remembered unless it is outstandingly good or bad. The only one I remember is the one where they held the reception at their housing complex’s party space, and the food was pizza, chips, 2 liters of soda, beer and wine. Nothing like turning your wedding into an 8yo’s birthday party.

I saw a dude at the McDonald’s on Market St. in SF having to wait too long for his food for his liking, so as soon as it got his tray after several minutes of yelling for his food at the staff, screams in his Mickey Rooney-level Engrish “I DONT WANT YOUR FRAT FOOD” and proceeds to dump it in the trash and leave.

“Please take your order and find a seat. You have 20 seconds to comply.”
