Honestly, The Producers is the Brooks movie I thought could never have been made in the modern era, which... Well, I guess the remake proved me wrong, even if Nathan Lane is no Zero Mostel and Mathew Broderick is certainly no Gene Wilder.
I make a very simple pancake mix with flour, and a pinch each of baking soda and powder and then I use fruit juices or nectars as the liquid to set off the leavening. Last weeks batch, I threw in a handful of freeze dried strawberries and pineapple nectar. Little fuckers didn’t even need syrup.
