I've been listening to the bootleg of his last show. I didn't realize he had been touring without a band this run. What a trip…

Oh, man… my first reaction upon walking out the show I saw was "I would do that again tomorrow night if I could". We got a pretty diverse setlist (a little over half of it was on Minimum Maxim, so at least I can get a taste of what the live versions were like), but getting full albums might have broken me entirely.

It had a distinctly Hodgmanesque feel to it…

Honestly, I probably would have enjoyed the 3D part of the show slightly more from the cheaper seats, but being able to clearly see the band and rest my feet on a bank of speakers directly in front of the stage was worth every goddamn penny.

More so than Houston, at least…

This was literally my first response when I heard about this show, but it was, in fact, pretty fucking fun.

I spent a couple days pay on a pair of tickets and I did not regret it.

Made it to the show in Portland, front and center. It was a pretty fucking amazing experience, to the point where it almost spoils their studio work…
