It’s definitely a bit heavy-handed, but at least the intended message is actually related to the subject matter in the episode.

Yup, I think that’s exactly what he meant. And he’s not wrong. People have tended to date and marry within their own race more often for most of the U.S.’s history. I think the juxtaposition of that tendency, with the anti-tendency for Asian gay men that he describes, was exactly what he was describing.
Yeah! It must be exhausting being gay and Asian at the same time—poor Chu’s got enough to worry about!
Agreed. The rest of the piece was funny but that was a truly just plain horrible thing to say.
She looks healthy, she is sounding good. Girl is gainfully employed, hasn’t had a mental meltdown in years. I am happy for her.
I don’t know but I think it’s pretty low to call her a walking benzo.
I guess because it’s late Friday afternoon but this essay confuses me...what’s the thesis statement? That women who are body-shamed shouldn’t be “clapping back”?
false
the difference is that the deranged whites are killers acting by their own personal motivations. That they happen to call themselves “christian,” is irrelevant.
Really? What were the names of the hicks who were flying those airplanes in New York?
But those white Christian men did not kill in the name of Christianity. HUGE difference
It is very easy for Islamists to relocate in European countries that’s why. We don’t know if the killer is Muslim but come on....
Yeah. I kind of want to suggest the addition of “and by epilepsy we mean cough syrup.”
wayne- stop drinking lean!!! you need to go to rehab
I think he might've been joking?
nope, i want an engagement vacation, engagement down payment on a house, engagement ANYTHING but a stupid gemstone that costs that much money.
I didn’t even want an engagement ring, let alone the standard style of a large diamond solitare. My fiance insisted on getting me a ring, so I steered him toward a diamond band. It’s beautiful, and honestly every day I look at it and am glad it’s not the typical engagement ring. To each their own, but I just don’t…
I can’t be the only one that wouldn’t even want that ring. It just looks fucking uncomfortable, let alone the abstract absurdity of it.
I’m a Black chick, a Trekkie, a writer, and a SF/fantasy nerd and I disagree. Whenever they remake a beloved character ‘cause it is a “brand” like Iron Man - I drop the series. It is insulting and lazy & the Marvel universe has gotten totes ridiculous.
Naw, got to spin it for max sympathy. And I doubt race was a factor, more like “holy shit, this 300lbs almost 6ft tall guy might be reaching for his gun to kill me”. But I mean... shitty racist white cops, amirite?
