Probably because you want rear grip when going around a corner. That’s like asking why an F1 car has a front wing when it’s rear-wheel drive.
And the HR-V, with the desirable AWD is unavailable with a manual. It’s like they don’t want me to buy their car.
A fitter Fit? Damn, the marketing writes itself!
BRZ / GT86 people: “Hey! Wait up!”
Dodge Demon people: “But can it pull the front wheels off the ground?!”

1st Gear: America’s SUV Obsession Means Luxury Automakers Struggle To Sell Lease-Returns
Man,
This conversation went sideways fast.
Remember: just because you have Drift Mode and now the Drift Stick, it doesn’t automatically mean you are a Drift God.
How long will we see someone find a way to put this in an S2000 or S660 for SEMA?
Also any insight if this will fit in an Insight?
NO. Too much money, terrible restoration.
Now you’re just projecting. Their angle will throw other manufacturers a curve and will lead to the brand’s elevation. I just hope they can square it away.
My SUV theory is that SUVs are the way cars are logically supposed to be.
Don’t draw conclusions. At least wait for a clay model before you render an opinion.
I dunno. Looks sketchy.
So basically their marketing is a lie. It’s not compression ignition. It’s high compression spark ignition with multiple injection events. Because gasoline is too volatile to ignite through compression. If you use a spark plug to set off the combustion event it is not compression ignition. Period.
Mazda is even using the new piston design for marketing.
It all sounds cool, but if it needs a spark to ignite the fuel/air is it really “compression ignition”?
