The danger caused by cellphones has nothing to do with GPS. The concern is ultra-sensitive ILS equipment, which operates in the VHF range, just above FM radio. And yes, cellphone transmissions can affect ILS readings. It's not a very common occurrence, but ask any pilot with a lot of hours who flies with his phone

Exactly the kind of comment I would have expected from somebody who posts a Family Guy clip.

"22 MPG on the highway, the best of any seven-passenger SUV."

You bet! I've been away from Jalopnik for a few months and I've missed this kind of conversation.

What I'm saying is, most vehicles without an overabundance of power have a lower top speed in their highest gear (6th or "overdrive" in the Sorento) than they do in the next gear down (5th, which akin to the "OD off" position in the Sorento). The Sorento actually doesn't have "OD/OD-Off" positions on the selector

I still get people correcting me when I say Hunday. "It's hy-YOON-dye, you know."

Where's my damn stripes at?

In most run-of-the-mill passenger vehicles, top speed is not in overdrive (D6 on the Sorento), but in the next gear down. Most of the time, a car is rev-limited in D5, but drag limits it to a lower speed in overdrive. I wouldn't recommend your suggestion unless you are in an overpowered car.

The diseases brought over from Europe developed there because of the close living conditions encountered there, particularly in port cities. Europeans lived in downright miserable conditions. They were infested with rats, shared the ground floor of their homes with pigs and goats, and dumped sewage into the streets.

Old school is out. What's in these days is "green" products.
