They're illegal here! Ridiculous, but true.

Exactly what tonyola said. The Equus, for instance, was designed completely for the Korean market. We only got it over here in the US (I don't know if you guys get it) because Hyundai figured hey, why not?

It think that may be the issue-that it's stock. E36's are so cheap these days that SOOO many of them are clapped-out and full of dents, while festooned with limo tint and chrome wheels. Yours is restrained and, like all 3ers should be, is Alpenweiss. Also, I love those wheels.

Just wait till it goes on sale in California.

Totally a matter of personal preference, but I love the Genesis. We had a dark blue 2012 5.0 at my work, and it looked the straight business. Understated and muscular, I consider it the spiritual successor to the older Infiniti M's that Jalopnik has always loved so much. Everything we want, but it just blends right

Why not call it a large sedan? Basically, the Azera is gunning straight for the Avalon, and I can say it hits the mark. I can't speak for Hyundai, but in my opinion, if you think of the Azera as the Avalon, the Genesis is the Lexus GS. Remember, Hyundai chose not to spin off the Genesis brand, but if they had, I

I could do better than that in my Kia! (Obligatory flame)

Did somebody say handsome Windows laptop?

The "circus wagon"!

I still don't understand why one would need to double clutch on a synchronized gearbox. What am I missing?

I work in automotive development, and once came across a piece of internal literature that referred to them as "side-mounted rear view mirrors". I raised hell, and I had to type it myself, but I got that changed. Every one of the old sheets went straight into the shredder.

I'm more partial to, "A-coodle doodle doo."

I'm glad this got banned, because if I ever had to see an offensive license plate, I'd just... well, I'd just DIE.

It's interesting how much the Arabic map of continental europe looks like the area under Muslim control under the Caliphate period. Shows how little we've changed in 1300 years.

Are the dim red lights you're talking about the ones seen around 1:30 in the video? Those are light from the airplane's beacon light (required marking light on all aircraft) reflecting off a series of small fences on the wing surface.

We've done it before, a long time ago.

I don't know... he does kind of look like a Flaming Lips fan.

Which is a strange marking scheme—made even stranger by the fact that the gauge is labelled "Fuel Consumption".

No, they are working more than they would in cruise. They are working exactly the same as they would during any other takeoff, which in jets is often between 100% and 110%. You don't run anywhere near that high a fan speed at cruise.
