@BlackYoshi: This issue is one of the very few in the past decade that has united both extremes of the American political spectrum. If you don't believe me, go look at articles on DailyKos and Drudge Report. Nice job trying to politicize every single fucking issue, though. That's really mature and well thought out.

@beehunt: So "just doing their job" is a valid defense now?

@Fauxcused: I'm just curious; which rights do you feel are worthy of your interest? The Bill of Rights is a house of cards. If you don't fight over the issues that you don't care about, you have no way to defend those you do care about.

@kaffenated: So the core principles of the Bill of Rights only applied to the times 223 years ago? Your historical illiteracy is showing there, smart guy.

There were a lot of Mark VI Continentals in my neighborhood as a kid. I wondered why they had clocks on their trunks. It didn't help that my mom called them "Grandpa cars", and our house had something called a "Grandfather clock". It was all very confusing.

@omgwtfbbq!: My favorite part is how the engineers went to great lengths to ensure that the enormous trunk has as little useful space as possible.

@Gators15: You have no idea what you're talking about. My local airport, LAX, opened in 1930 and many others around the country opened right around the same time. Passenger air travel really took off (no pun intended) with the introduction of the Douglas DC-3, which also took place in the 1930s. By 1930, the US

@James Cornick: Viewpoints like this make me sick. Look at yourself. You're proud to be scared. You think your fear and blind trust of your government are some kind of tribute to the people you lost that day. That's pathetic.

@Commisar: For all it's worth? I don't think you can sue for nothing.

@shellcase: Hey, TSA, could I BE wearing any more clothes?

@RainyDayInterns: As for the Patriot Act, torture, and detention, let me paraphrase a comment that I read on here the other day: "I don't care what it is that causes my fellow citizens to open their eyes to government abuses, all that matters is that they are opened."

@113Doctor: Ooohh, I like that. I may have to paraphrase you someday.

@Mike Santo: Democracies always devour themselves. It's a sad but unavoidable truth of history.

@wheresmyjetpack: Go ahead, remain submissive. There is a stigma associated with thinking the government may possibly be anything other than an infallible force for good, and you wouldn't want that, now would you?

@Flip Saunders: I didn't think it was possible to determine from a single sentence that somebody is a complete and utter twat. I stand corrected.

@Concrete Cyanide: If you look at the actual reasons for the uprisings that sparked the American Revolution, they look a little bit silly, too. I bet a lot of those soldiers would be pretty pissed to see the Liberty Bell signed to such a fat, dumb, and happy remark.

@raypaw: I don't know, everyone seems to be standing up for these lackies based on that justification. Then again, the argument for these searches is so filled with logical fallacies, it would probably be better no to stress yourself out trying to make sense of it.
