Shhh....this upsets the Deadspin narrative!

I have no dog in the fight, but remind me again what’s so great about the Red Sox rotation.

Randy Arozarena is easily my favorite Nic Cage movie.

You make a good argument, but in fairness it’s hard to judge, because the NBA doesn’t showcase those second and third tier teams. My gut says you’re in the minority of fans that would watch one of those games; however, there’s no way for me to back it up with data because the networks don’t touch those teams.

The NBA has done an outstanding job of marketing. Most NBA “fans” (and no casuals) wouldn’t watch Atlanta/Sacramento on a random Tuesday in January. However, they market the hell out of the big teams, and therefore that’s who most people gravitate towards.

But you’re kinda’ comparing apples to oranges. Using your Tigers/Royals example, the NBA purposely doesn’t schedule a slew of Jazz, Magic, Kings, or Hawks games on their TNT schedule, because no one is watching those, either. It’s basically a rotation of the same 8 -10 teams all season long.

Well, looks like it’s going to be a Cavs/Warriors rematch again in the Finals. Who would’ve imagined that? The NBA is awesome.

We’ll have none of that logic on this site, sir!

Acquire black talent: Trying too hard to show you’re not racist, but SECRETLY you’re racist!

Gotta’ keep those time-honored Yankee traditions alive, like keeping your hair short, playing the PC Richards whistle after every K, and keeping your young fan base interested by charging $500 per seat for a game against Tampa in April. The Yankee way.

He was right about Rosie.

The pics are cute and all, but who won? There may be a couple of places out there where you can actually wager on this. Just, uh, “curious.”

I can’t wait until he scores a TD next year, then hugs a wall and asks it to marry him. We’ll all laugh and laugh and give each other high-fives.

“The story of the NFL is that of an ongoing arms race between offenses and defenses, with the pendulum swinging back and forth from era to era as each side acclimates and innovates.”

It’s amazing how a multi-billion dollar league can have a measuring system that’s so archaic.

TELL ME MORE! I NEED TO KNOW WHO’S ON YOUR TEAM!

Every two weeks on MSG, isn’t there a “new” special about the Rangers winning the Cup 22 years ago? Oh great, another interview with Messier and Richter!

“...One of the most specific lessons of the first iteration of Moneyball...”

I’d love to agree with you, because I despise the NBA. I can’t find 10 people that are die-hard NBA fans, yet somehow it gets incredible ratings.

“...but one of the built-in challenges for the World Cup was always going to be appealing to fans once their team is out.”
