Agreed. I saw a huge diversity of riders at the BMW MOA rally in 2019. I thought my daughter might have been one of the youngest female riders at 25, but she wasn’t even CLOSE. There we’re a bunch of younger females attending. I think the youngest was 15 or 16 (I’m not talking passenger, the rider.)

I always thought it was so they could do "Pony Play" with their buddies after the bars closed at night.

You do realize Microsoft produces the windows operating system, not IBM, correct?

For me, the GS was more comfortable than the RT, nearly as comfy as a K1600GT or GTL, at least on a 90 minute demo ride of each.

I’m guessing the cheap lowest-bidder Chinese made battery cells are at risk of catching fire.  If it happens at a quick charging station, it's far less likely to kill someone than if it happens in an attached garage while the family is sleeping.

Yes, the company can fizzle and die for all I care.  Just like the majority of replies you have received, it's the culture of noise and costume dressup fostered by the company that makes me not only not care about Harley's problems, but actually hope for a quick demise.

No, this is the real price. Harley feels it would cheapen their brand image if they were to discount models.  They only resort to discount when they have particularly large quantities of left over, unsalable bikes.  Even then, the discounts are minor.

I’ve always thought a swappable battery would eliminate all the negatives of electric vehicles.  Just measure current used and charge based on that metric.  If you charge at home, you'd still pay a small fee to the battery company based on wear and tear against the batteries limited useful lifespan.

I would say "way more expensive" than the K1600... It's getting right up there... Same with a GSA, by the time you add in a couple of aluminum panniers.  Although you ARE getting a lot more for your money with both of the BMWs.

The Scout engine is pretty sweet.  Certainly not my style of bike, the the engine is very well engineered.  (Did try have Japanese help?  It really is that smooth.)

We will never see all the problems and difficulties or even a fraction of the actually number of charges required or the amount of run time on the gas or diesel generators belching fumes. Some Non Disclosure Agreement will keep cast and crew silent and financial “considerations” by Harley will ensure Harley has final

Actually, it’s to sell t-shirts and other branded crap to people who DON’T own a Harley. You get paid by people to allow them to advertise for you.

Blown shocks and cracked frames... Both certainly due to extremely overloaded bikes.  Unless you overloaded some KTMs of the same era by a couple hundred pounds that same way the frames and suspension of the BMWs were, you'd never know...  Apparently, though, KTM knew their bikes weren't up to the task, as they pulled

Livewire chargers at the same rate level 2 as level 1.  Only a level 3 charger will decrease charge time.

I’m guessing they have a NDA in place, as part of the agreement with HD supplying bikes and what-not... We'll never know the extent of the problems or issues that the bikes really end up having.

I worked for a small sheriff’s office a couple decades ago. Harley basically gave a motorcycle to the office to use for, I think, 4 years. The only officer who even had a motorcycle license (used to take 5000-10,000 mile motorcycle vacations 2-up on his BMW twice a year) took the bike out, got a wobble going around a

I haven’t seen sales figures for the last couple quarters for BMW Motorad, but last time I did read something, it was mentioned that sales (US sales at least, and maybe world wide sales, don’t remember) had been UP consistently for the past several years.

They might not be bed ridden yet, but after years of abusively loud exhaust and vibration, their attention is severely lacking. I stopped going on any “charity rides”, even a couple of worth while ones, after witnessing several extremely close calls/near accidents. (I ALWAYS rode last in line anyways)

Look at the livewire... That big old silver penis (motor housing) hanging between the riders legs...

Lower models might not be expensive compared to other models in their lineup, but you get the cheapest components possible.
