I could do without Paddy
I hate this a lot less than any of the Autozone sponsored PT’s I’ve seen. The lack of a tailgate is a big disappointment, though.
I was actively laughing at the previous comments.
The tires in these pictures are 34 or 35".
I suppose there’s an argument to be made that if there’s a nit, it should be picked
No thanks. I don’t need 12 plastic fasteners to access spark plugs.
I’m guessing these pictures are from the FX4 trim. Given the diff locks and huge tires. But wouldn’t it be great if you could have some of this a la carte on any trim? ie: skip the sway bar disconnect and get the locking diffs.
Leaks have suggested a 2.3 EB 4-pot as the base engine and 2.7 EB V6 as the upper option. The question is whether the manual is available on both or not.
Bench-marking the Wranger: The Sport can be had (ordered, dealers won’t stock this) without the optional(!) A/C for under $30k with the 6-speed stick, 3.6. You can even option the rear LSD under $30k.
There are a bunch of reasons why. Most is just timing. Also, I’ll be using it as a semi-DD, where the minimum commute is 25 miles each way of twisty 55mph(+) rural highway... And I don’t want to die (again, an exception would be made for a Jimny).
I’m gonna keep putting this out into the universe, just in case that hokey stuff is real.
Initially, no, yes, absolutely, optional
The current Himalayan is a bit of a cult favorite in the ADV world. The biggest knock is power. A 750 twin should be very popular.
The one big option missing is a manual (I know: ‘that guy’ comment). However, I’m really looking forward to the Bronco. I am still holding out hope for a stripper 4x4 model like this Ranger, but with a manual, that comes in close to $30k.
..the Dodge Challenger, which is just begging for retirement at this point
Shareholders demand action. I Struggle to empathize much with either side of this equation. I’m sure Mr. Palmer will receive a nice fat exit payment. It’s probably a bitter pill, but he’ll be fine.
I’ve looked at Frontiers now and then when I got the itch for a truck.
Tom’s last car buying questions article was the first one.
What is this listicle BS?
