Painful reminder that I should not have sold my poor broken K5

It’s probably closer in price to the Porsche than new Bronco.

Wow, ok. Didn’t realize I was fostering totalitarianism. Can you point to some bias in this piece? The facts are presented without any opinion given that I can discern, but I’d welcome an example.

That’s a true concept. How does it apply in this article, though?

4Low: It feels strange reading a Morning shift with an unbiased tone, no ‘New York is the only place in the world’ opinions, or union Shilling.

Requisite

I think the key is “rural area”. I also live in a (very) rural town, and see a relatively high per-capita number of new Mitsus. Likely due to the Wal-Mart pricing and forever upside-down financing options.

Maybe. I rarely sit back there. A few road trips have not resulted in any seating complaints. The function is worth it to me.

Stow n’ Go

the myth that minivans are only for the tepid and sexless.

First thing that popped into my head.

I’d be surprised if there wasn’t one out there.

Filed in the “Stupid shit I’ll do when I win the lottery” folder:

Can we take a moment to appreciate that Orlove didn’t suggest a pro-street ‘63 Rambler Wagon, or some such nonsense?

If they can really shave $10k off the price of EVs, that’d be pretty incredible. I’m skeptical for now. Unless we’re talking “after incentives”, which is much less impressive.

You mean long-term rent?

“seen as high as 18mpg

(obviously not my record, but too high)

I was planning to look hard at a new Bronco this time next year when my current auto loan is paid off. With all of the current, and expected, new car financing deals and ash on the hood, I may actually get something with very low depreciation now with free money, and consider a Bronco a year or two later.

Personally: I’m fine. Naturally antisocial and live way out in the sticks. For me, this all means I WFH more often (my preference), visit the store less often, and have to home-school my son. That last part is a challenge. I also spend a bit more time refreshing Kinja sites to get the comments section to load.
