First Genesis Sedan was in 2008. Then the Genesis Coupe for MY ‘10. Both still Hyundais. There has not been a two-door under the genesis brand.

I agree with the overall sentiment that crossovers have gotten out of hand. But, living in a rural area where some roads can turn into a Jeep trail after heavy rainfall, there are real use-cases for these things as daily-drivers.

Will the manual be available?

Maybe Bosch can whip something up for them...

That’s clearly why they are made in the first place. But, if compliance is the only purpose for the vehicle, it’s not going to sell.

I’m a cheap bastard, really. The one vehicle I’d walk into a dealership seriously ready to put down money is a Jimny (converted cost ~$21k). I’m interested in a new Bronco if it has a removable top, since I made the huge mistake of letting go of my K5. But the price of all new cars today keep me at arms length, even

I want a price point that won’t happen, unfortunately. It’s going to start at least over $30k and balloon from there. Maybe it won’t be as bad as the insane amounts people pay for Wranglers, but I don’t expect it to be in my range.

I understood that 94% to mean:

So you’re saying there’s a chance.

...And everyone living in rural America (all that big space between the cities), will be instantly impoverished.

In just under 5 yrs, the way things have been going.

I’m not so sure that the Taycan qualifies as nearly twice the car.

...run entirely in front or rear-wheel drive mode

I wouldn’t expect you’ll be able to get one for less than $50,000

FCA - Hellcat, need I say more?
Toyota - Favorite of the white boomers, balances against the Prius crowd
Mazda - Not so much confidence in that “Holy-Grail engine”?
Nissan - Too much to worry about already
Kia - Pragmatic money-savings?
Subaru - Seriously bad idea. Kills a lot of the image they built. Even if they’re cars

This is in India... Everyone is being cut-off at all times.
