I’m glad this car exists, and applaud the builder’s vision.
“Gee, I sure am glad that this AD autoplays before the video autoplays when I click on the post.” – Nobody.
60 vs 45 is obviously hyperbole. But, you will be paying about $5k more for the Glad vs an equivalent Ranger. And you’ll be giving up amenities at every level in favor of offroad capability (considering FX4 isn’t on par with the Rubicon upgrades). It’s an expensive truck.
I’ve been toying with the idea of finding another clean square-body Blazer (full-size), since I still have a soft-top for it. I love the ability to use it as an SUV or a truck, depending on my need. I’m going to look hard at this Bronco when it’s released, but I feel like it’s sure to start at over $35k for a 4x4.…
I have zero faith in the current POTUS doing anything with Americans’ benefit in mind. That said, I’m not all that quick to jump on either side of a bunch of Billionaires fighting over which of them get to keep the most of our money. Everything the auto industry execs say are taken with a pillar of salt.
Yeah, this is more fed from the Manf. end. I get why; Each drivetrain option is expensive for them, so they want to minimize the range to what sells ’best’. Automatics sell better per-trim that they’re both available on, so they only put the manual on one trim (usually Base stripper), and then say that Manuals only…
That would be great, as long as Mazda is able to inject some fun back into Subaru, instead of having fun sucked away by the CVT Least-common-denominator vehicles that Subaru makes now.
‘93 was a HUGE flood. I lived in the area at the time, and it put deep water in places that would never be expected. It was just ft. shy from overcoming the floodwall (52ft high) and drowning downtown St. Louis. Drowned freeways, thousands upon thousands of acres of farmland underwater, and houses well outside the…
Still more reasonable than what people pay for an iPhone. Even at twice the price.
Canyon buyers really have to be committed to only buying a Canyon. Even leftover 2018's have about $6k (advertised) cash on the hood. Whereas the Silverado/Sierra can have 13+ grand sitting 8ft off the ground above that massive grill. An equivalent Full-size works out to about the same price as the (not-small)…
“that came out wrong”
I had a 1st Gen Probe (‘90 LX) in HS. I’m super conflicted. Sometimes it was a lot of fun. Other times..: 2 failed transmissions, every single exterior latch failed to either engage or disengage, the exhaust rusted through (in NM!), and the PS pump ejected it’s shaft. All before it reached the mileage of this one.
Thanks Harley
Go full Eff-It and throw in an LS, too. Bonkers budget Rally-Fighter.
Wow. I had no idea that existed. First thought: I wonder what the salesmen say if you ask to see one and you’re not a woman.
In a city where your destination is measured in blocks, sure. But the United States has a vast majority of land not contained in Urban areas. For we rural and suburban commuters, having the ‘puter take care of the 20+mile drive (each way) would be great.
Yeah, the article that he linked to actually says the opposite of “That button does nothing”. It specifically points to differing levels of control, depending on cycles and intent, including your situation.
