There's surely a path to some kind of street legalishness in the more anti regulation states. Register as utv or low-speed vehicle in a state with negligible restrictions. 

It’s worse than that. If you talk about a product near your phone, it may show up on your feed. I’ve had it myself. Was having a conversation on a different phone that involved flame-flicker smart lights. 10 minutes later, that popped up on my FB feed. I've never mentioned or searched smart lights before that.
