They were one of the few veggies I didn’t care for as a kid. They were usually steamed or boiled, and always over cooked. Now, I love them roasted, or sauteed with garlic.

Well, the kids are all grown. The grand kids still get presents. There are five of them under ten years of age. Between the two of us, we don’t need or want anything, so it lets us focus on the little ones. It works for us.

My husband and I solved this by not giving gifts to each other. Now we pick one thing that we both want and buy it together. It might be a new television, or kitchen appliance. It’s something that we will both use and enjoy. That way we both get something we really want and everyone is happy. It’s cheaper that way too.

I use Uber when I’m out of town. I went to San Diego for a long weekend and used Uber to get all over the city. It still cost less than renting a car for 4 days and driving in a city I didn’t know. I have no use for it at home.
