I’m all for children learning guilt and remorse. So many of my peers have raised their children without any understanding of personal responsibility. They never felt guilt or remorseful over anything they did as their parents praised them over everything they did.

The dumbing down of America has been well and truly successful. Science has become something you choose to believe, not try to understand.

Sometimes pulling the handle a little to let some water run into the bowl but not actually flush works just fine. The slow increase of the water pressure in the bowl is enough to nudge things along. If not, then break down and ask for a plunger.

Don’t use your “Dad Voice” on your 27 year old son who’s been independent and self supporting for almost 10 years. Didn’t work out well for my own father.

My best advice is to not live there. I met some great people, but the five months I spent there were not good.

I think Facebook has caused people to lose their compassion and common sense. A friends brother committed suicide and his 18 year old daughter found out about it from Facebook. Not one single person thought that maybe they should wait until someone had a chance to let her mother know so she could have that horrible…

I would totally hook a kid to the seat in a shopping cart to keep them from crawling around.

I’m totally in favor of afternoon naps for EVERYONE. Sometimes all it takes is a quick 30 minutes to get recharged for the rest of the day, or for the kids to drop the Empress Bitch of the Universe attitude they use at school.

Why can’t we all just say we are human beings ?

Aside from a few songs, in general I didn’t like their music anyway, but that song in particular gives me a really visceral reaction and I have to leave the room.

One song I particularly dislike - “Patience” by Guns n Roses. Alex Rose’s voice make my skin crawl. I have to leave the room when that song is on because otherwise I have to unzip my skin and let it crawl away.

I saw an interview where he said his single most important decision every day is what watch to wear. Not his kids, not the mother of his children, his damn watch. He’s a good example of how to be a horrible human being.

My step-son does the deep fried turkey. My issue with that is most people use peanut oil due to its ability to take the head. I just don’t like it. I would go for a smoked turkey. That’s absolutely worth the time.

The one thing that is non-negotiable is the abomination known as green been casserole will NEVER appear at my table.

I’m good with turkey once a year, but every year it seems to be more and more work. We’re doing a standing rib roast this year, and everyone else can bring a side dish. Less work for everyone all around.

That’s a fine example of public service to your country ! Bravo !
