True, but the continued success of Wonder Woman is worth noting in this discussion. These other movies are not proving to be cultural events, which is essentially what you need to stave off the next sequel taking your box office the following weekend.

I would actually find perverse joy in my post becoming true, because fuck all shared universes and that whole approach to making movies.

No worries as this is actually all part of the MCU. The Russos were fired from Infinity War this morning by Feige, and the reins of the whole thing have been handed over to Shyamalan.

I know it gets a lot of love here but I somehow did not manage to catch up to Star Trek Beyond until today.

No, thanks for the tip, will track it down!

That would be amazing. I've liked some of the Islands stuff but nothing else any of those guys has done comes close to their work in The Unicorns.

Yes, believe so, but I also haven't really been paying attention to them. I liked the last album fine, mostly thanks to James Murphy's influence.

I'm loving how this year has seen all my favorite early 2000s Canadian bands returning with strong new albums. Based on the single here, WP will join that list.

A perfect album.

Dragonslayer is one of my favorite albums of all time. Krug is awesome and you should have to trade-in your username for not appreciating him more.

The review does not read as a B- at all. I actually scrolled back up to make sure I'd read the grade right because she's pretty hard on this overall (and, sounds like, rightly so).

Damon can do pretty much anything but I have a hard time picturing him as RFK. They should just cast Peter Sarsgaard again instead. His RFK in Jackie was excellent.

I already thought this sounded like something I'd dig, but that 72 minutes really sealed the deal.

A late bloomer for sure.

I was too young to really understand what I was feeling, but my first ever movie crush was JoBeth Williams in this.

Oh god, Death Bed. That movie goes on forever. The bed never seems to get its fill…

Goggins Walton will make a great villain opposite Man-Ant.

It's a racing stripe, and it's pretty neat.

I, for one, welcome the Young Chewbacca thinkpieces.

This is one of those times where I love that my brain always switches up Robert Plant and Robert Palmer in my mind, because what I'm now picturing is Chewbacca in a suit backed by a bevy of heavily-lipsticked Jabba palace slave girls.
