"We gather together to watch cheesy movies…"
Sorry About the Alzheimer's, Internet!
You're doing it wrong.
And I'm more of an indie pop guy so I personally rate the first two Shins albums very highly.
Agreed on Carpenter's skill dipping dramatically around this time, but this movie is too silly for me to hate. I also don't hold Escape from NY in the same high regard as everyone else - it's very good, but not on the level of Carpenter's best films.
Leon is fantastic, and my favorite Besson film.
Absolutely. I love the first MI.
The article is mostly about this idea. The Rock has a lot of entertaining stuff in it but also displays nearly all of Bay's worst tendencies. So yes, it's his best, but that's hardly an accomplishment.
Weirdly, I think the cheapness of the effects actually work to the movie's advantage. It feels overtly fake, which ties nicely to its not-terribly-subtle take on LA.
Psychedelic is good. I bought the first BB album and only liked a couple songs. Not nearly enough of those great Mercer pop melodies that made me a fan, but maybe I should give it another listen.
This is good to hear, as I love the Shins but have been generally underwhelmed by his Broken Bells stuff.
Also, did they QA this at all? I'm shocked a website this well known would release an update like this without proper testing.
This was my thought too. Seems obvious…
Pretty sure your nemesis Cocaine is behind all this, what with the over-busy, faux-efficient design.
I'm scared that if this continues, I may actually end up being a productive member of society.
As opposed to AJ's idea that we strike from commenting on Monday, I instead propose that we all keep commenting but only the way you are doing so today on every article.
This seems a very obtuse way to go about boosting the economy.
This is like that moment of release when the whippet hits the brain.
Yes, solves the commenting problem, but creates one ugly-ass page with articles just sorted by when they posted, as if I just searched the whole site.
