I think it's more Woo than MI, but that's not the worst thing. It's ill-fitting in a way that's kind of enjoyable.

You just need to get to the baby penguin.

I was in college and had stopped playing video games, so was unaware of any other 3D platformers, or really the state of games in general at that time. I remember renting the whole system, loading up the game, then having Mario walk up to and climb the little tree on the opening screen. I then panned the camera around

She was in This is the End and was thankfully killed off very early in the film.

Well sure it does, Hoffman is incredible in that role, as he was in everything.

I actually kinda like all the Mission Impossible films, even if the Woo one is admittedly terrible. I'd rank them:

I think there were something like 5 new shows on NBC last year adapted from movies that have already been canceled. Hoping that means the formula will be retired for awhile.

Me too. I was so disappointed when it bombed as my friends and I all loved it.

That vault sequence could never be made today - I can't imagine a major studio allowing for that much prolonged, tense silence in their tentpole blockbuster. I'm sure it was a battle even then but I'm glad we have it. It's textbook suspense filmmaking.

No one hates audiences more than me, but if Herzog becoming popular as a personality gets him more funding for his work, I'm all for it. My experience has been that young stupid people approach him as a meme, then get invested in the movies themselves because, yes, he actually is a that interesting of a filmmaker.

"Don't get me wrong, I was against the Clinton impeachment. What a man does with his own penis, oval office, women's big and tall…is not for the American people to say."

Yahoo Screen began in flames.

Upvoted for Art Carney.

Wait…his gun barks?!?!

Who in the what now?

But how will we ever overcome the strong hipsters that defend its gates?!?!

I'm still scared of that dragon from the final round of that show. Something about how the camera would cut to the empty square and then the dragon would suddenly animate out towards the viewer.

I can't believe I never put it together that the reason I always liked the Whammies, and why they looked so familiar, was that they were created by Savage Steve Holland. Seems so obvious now.

Despite the fact that it's been around forever and I'd heard it many times before seeing the film, I always associate Danny Boy with Miller's Crossing.

Jesus Christ, the end of that movie. So brutal.
