“the original’s Brenton Thwaites having been replaced by Harris Dickinson” sounds like a parody of Britishness.

Snyder: “I’m sorry, due to your rampant alcoholism we’re gonna have to fire you, this video has emerged-”

Zen koan for the day: is Darren Rovell the Chris Cillizza of sports journalism, or is Chris Cillizza the Darren Rovell of political puditry?

“We’re in a culture where we want to cast judgement on people, we want to disparage people so quickly.”

This line from Brady says it all.

““It’s so easy for us to blame and shame because everyone has a voice now,””

Imagine framing “everyone has a voice now” as a negative.

Another reminder that Tom Brady is football Tom Cruise.

At no point did I argue that Wen was hired in the way anyone else in the organization was hired. Of course she wasn’t. But she WAS hired. And she was hired to carry out the mission of the organization. Now, perhaps when she presented her interpretation of the mission, they thought it was awesome, then changed their

My sister literally works for Planned Parenthood.

They still don’t carry my size. Sure, they carry my band size and my cup size, but never the twain shall meet, I guess. They still only have two styles for closest size that I could consider trying.

I don’t think this article is arguing one way or the other. The takeaway that I had is the entire discussion around this matter is seen almost exclusively through the male gaze, which shapes the discussion and decisions that follow.

The #MeToo movement never really hit sports.

i have recently purchased bras from this place.  the straps really don’t fall down and i loved that.  but now that i know all of this, i won’t buy them again.

I would also like to point out that the FB ads for this company popping up in my feed constantly tout their inclusive size range. It wasn’t until recently that they carried more than two styles above 40, and it’s still limited. Their touted “1/2 size” range phases out above a B cup around 36 as well.

At a nonprofit, the Board is responsible for the mission of an organization. If her approach was not in keeping with the mission, then she is wrong. I think it’s probably not going to work as an approach because the other side has polilticized this. You can try to add layers to response, but I don’t think PP can

Right? She’s loving, talented, messy and utterly perfect.

I don’t think it really matters whether her approach was right or wrong. The point is, she wasn’t hired to be the dictator of Planned Parenthood. She had her idea, she presented it to the board, they disagreed with her and voted down her idea. THE END. You don’t get to keep endlessly pushing it without consequences. I

I am so so so glad you wrote this. I have a special place in my heart for Michael K. I used to read that site 20 times a day. His writing is hilarious and sharp at the same time. He is unlike any other blogger/writer I’ve read. Thank you for this article. It warmed my old heart!

I <3 Micheal K. His turn of phrase and tone is sooooo funny. Lately, it’s a brief laugh to break up the shitty news cycle. He’s the best!

I still go there. For whatever reason his writing brings me joy, even after a decade of reading it. He can still surprise me.
