Correct, I don’t. Haven’t even driven one. Don’t really like new cars that much.

If they think that a 5hp/tq increase, a new name and some mildly updated styling will make sales take off then there’s someone very deluded somewhere in up the Toyota corporate chain.

This. 100% this.

This is, without a doubt, the single damn coolest thing I've ever seen revealed at an auto show since, well, the last 3-wheeler actually...

If ever I were to buy a new car, that would be something that would make me about-face and walk out of the dealership straight away.

Some sort of valet mode? Seems odd for them to have 2000rpm of redline...

I’ll be painting my Spitfire Valencia Blue at some point which is sort of teal...

Not particularly, but I have repainted my little Triumph’s keychain to be white and green instead of white and blue as a little nod to Group44:

Hmmm, I kind of agree with them. If you can legally, and from what it sounds like quite easily, find the name of the registered owner from a licence plate then that information is not private.

tpw_rules for president!

Very good point, and you’re 100% correct.

These people need another word other than ‘reliability’ to describe minor irritations. If a car performs the fundamental functions of a car, that is to get you somewhere you planned to get to, without something breaking that you weren't meant to replace anyway it is reliable.

Yeah I have wondered whether you could fit an aircooled flat 6 into the front of a 924/944/928...

This. Difficulty for uniqueness while still retaining positives is what makes things interesting.

Perfect! MGB would stand for MGBaja :)

100 times this.

Soooo, the next step is to stick aftermarket ‘AMG’ badges onto the back of every C200 D and slow-ass GLK diesel in haphazard positions like what seems like the majority of their customers have taken to doing...

“Also, how does Han Solo’s DL44 have more power than an AT-AT, which was equipped with two laser cannons and two medium blasters“

I 't be sure about the overwhelming majority bit. Based on Doug's data article about who recommended him to buy what car, there's a much larger proportion of Yuropeans than I thought...

Tbere’s loads! Makes me want to go buy something from south africa and drive it back to the uk in an epic road trip :)
