I think you hit the nail on the head with 'lifted-Baja vette'.

"And this also gives Jaguar some time to figure out how it'll interpret some kind of modern XJS. Because that's what a dozen people want, right?"

It is permanent, but with a 90/10 torque split in normal driving. That goes to a 60/40 in VXR mode :)

Absolutely :)

Nope :) it takes a long time to get anywhere in therapy. The other option is researcher, but that doesn't pay nearly well enough to support my automotive exploits.

I'd have loved to do automotive engineering, but I sort of got into it properly halfway through my Psychology degree. Very interesting, but not fantastically useful :)

Good uni though, from what I've heard. What are you studying?

I went to Bath Spa. Nice place, lovely city.

Thanks :) they are gorgeous.

It is a shame, but the more I read about it the more a collapse seemed inevitable. It's a shame that we lost a lot of good marques though.

Me neither :)

Shitty, I don't know. Slow, maybe compared to cars thousands of pounds more expensive. Fun, I'd be willing to bet it will be.

Bummer. Even a mildly hot Gordini one would be a riot though.

I cannot wait for an RS version. It's going to be bonkers.

This.

Definitely not bad. The V6S Coupe is only 14lbs over 3500 as well. I think that weight is in the fancy exhausts as well.

I think they're cab numbers now that you mention it. The coupe's a little lighter isn't it?

Possibly not. I haven't tried taking 100kg out of a car and seeing how it changes. That's a lot of weight however you look at it.

I've got a lightweight car (Spitfire), what I want is a lightweight F-Type :)

I do love the current Jag V8. Such a dirty, guttural noise.
