That would be ideal, but the luxury market is a crowded one and there isn't the equity in rallying that there once was.

This video's got some excellent footage of the TR7 V8, piloted by Manx champ Tony Pond.
I'm hoping that Marchionne does a kickass job with Alfa, and then moves onto Lancia after that.
'Anthropophage'. Now that's an insult you can sink your teeth into.
The Carrera Panamericana was pretty badass. Even just for the cool name.
Bummer.
Not a bad idea, but I wouldn't be gutting it. More like a modest diet, as opposed to weight loss surgery.
I'm liking the innovative anti-roll mechanism. The car can't roll any further if it's resting on a tyre :)
Are those just on the fronts? If so, swapping them onto the back might be the most minimal effort fix :)
That's what I was thinking. All those myriad little electric motors probably add up to ~30kg, replace the seats with manual-slider recaro buckets and you'll probably save another 20kg. Take out some sound deadening (but not all) and you're looking at 5-10kg saved. Panoramic glass roof replaced with carbon fibre,…
I really don't know how they've managed to cram so much weight in. The coupe is lighter, and there are a lit of little electronics that you don't really need.
I always wonder just how much weight you can strip out of a properly modern car and keep it livable with day-to-day.
Sweet :) I didn't know about this either. I actually really like the Lagonda. The side profile is stunning, although they're crying out for pop-up headlights in place of the stock ones.
Was it a sales flop just in the States or in Europe as well? I know there are quite a few knocking around the UK.
Hmmm, it's good to hear about things like this. Some people are convinced that German engineering is absolutely unimpeachable. As someone who's partial to Italians and Brits that's fairly irritating.
Hah :) depends on the depreciation I suppose
