This is actually a 156, but who am I to be pedantic? 159s are utterly gorgeous too :)

You can get these for £1000 here in the UK. Mine doesn't sound nearly this aggressive, but it's still pretty excellent with a quieter setup.

The Alfa 4C. It reassures me that Alfa is still alive and kicking, and good things could well be on the horizon for them.

Interesting, I haven't heard that before.

Ignoring the vast swathes of ad hominem text that litter this email, the principle issue to my understanding is that 'Mr. Ballaban' called Bristol weird.

Sweet :) I wonder how hard it is to mate it to an AWD system and go hunting Subarus...

I'm going to go with the Rover/Triumph SD1 6. Chances are you'll never have heard of it. It powered the mid-range SD1 2300 and 2600, and was forever overshadowed by the Rover V8 in the 3500.

Considering it started as a slightly iffy Triumph slant 4 it's amazing that Saab made something so excellent.

...and went on to power countless sports cars, kit cars, Range Rovers and executive saloons in Britain right up until 2006, not to mention a whole host of engine swaps.

Good point, although this is very racecar.

I've heard Civics with holes in the exhaust. They sound much more farty.

Nah, pretty certain you meant amazing :)

Very jealous of the GTV6. I'm the same with my 156 :)

No Jalop cred lost, no worries.

That video, along with what happened when my exhaust detached itself at the cat, have convinced me that I need to get a butterfly valve that bypasses the silencer as soon as I can.

Very true, and it wouldn't have existed without it.

I'm hoping I've done my maths right :) I've weighed the various bits and pieces, but I haven't really taken into account whether something is solely over the front or rear wheels, or whether it's between the two. I've had a rough stab at it, but nothing actually technical.

Holy shit. Really not cool.
