Berke Breathed (Bloom County) penned this memorial the other day

No longer able to blame their historically bad playing skills on the out-dated Metrodome (and now US Bank Stadium), I refer you to the soon-to-come ‘training facility’ that the Minnesota Vikings convinced the City of Eagan (Minnesota) to build for them.

One would hope that this new facility will be put to better use

Back some 35 years ago during my own globe-stomping phase, the shortest time I spent in one place was 60 days. Plenty of time to get over travel fatigue, re-establish personal daily routine, enjoy the local culture / food / party scene without pressure, and most importantly, maintain my reputation with my employer

I think this is one of my favorite Ted(x) performances:

Is there such a thing as a mechanical keyboard with adjustable backlighting?

Is there such a thing as a mechanical keyboard with adjustable backlighting?

That model was my fave rent-a-tub in the very early 1980s. Had boatloads of room and motive pop that the US-built rental cars of the day.

Hell, I’d be happy if the Feds would require car makers to actively support their in-dash nav systems with yearly map updates. Something (all of the time?) car makers treat their in-dash nav systems as ‘abandonware’ and refuse to issue new maps. It’s a huge safety and driveability issue for these $1000- options.

So it’s a hugely-expensive version of this:

Just want me a JohnnyCab, that’s all.....

Signals Intelligence. Characterizing all of the ‘normal’ RF emissions over NYC. If that changes, new, unknown adds, that is an indicator of something that should be investigated. Also helps an awful lot in cases where the military or Secret Service may need to jam signals as part of the presidential protection

As many others here are remarking, AWD does not necessarily mean all wheel stop. The likely ~4200 lbs wet weight of the car will work against it on anything but wet roads. There is a good chance a (defunct) 200S v6 AWD would out ‘perform’ the Challenger in everything but looks.

Technically, the FCA Pentastar v6 *is* a ‘hemi’, just not a Hemi.....

Have you checked out the price of ZF- or Merc-branded tranny fluid? The sticker-shock there will kill an elephant....

Let the good-think pogroms begin.......

Everybody wanted to use sketchy Theranos technology.

**Including** past and present writers on Gawker/Gizmodo.

I spent much of the mid-late 1980s tear-assing around (west) Germany and France in a 1st-gen Euro-spec 1.6i CRx. Thing weighed less than a metric tonne wet and would cruise easily at 180kph (1000 rpm below redline in 5th) and top out at 220.

And yes, 180kph was pretty common, this was still the pre-Trabant-era with

Jeez you guys...

Look up the Raytheon Excalbur round, espec the upcoming N5 naval variant. I would be really surprised if Raytheon (and BAE) hadn’t anticipated the pricing problem with the LockMart rocket assisted round and have been making behind the scenes plans to uprate the 5" Excalibur N5 Naval round to the

So much for data center tours.........

Sheesh, does anyone really thing that GoGo won’t close these holes as soon as they can?

So a bunch of self-entitled technocrats threaten to quit their jobs because diversity, inclusion, First Amendment and all that mean more than just different shades of what you personally agree to?

I say let them quit; show them the door in fact.

The world needs more Uber drivers. Until the other technocrats put
