My experience was very awkward I feel like I went the right route with asking 2 strippers to have a threesome but I dropped the ball having my mom be the one to film it.

I work in Spain, but am occassionaly around English barristers who are seconded to my office. Sometimes they're pretty low on the food chain. One time I held the elevator [or as he might have said, "lift"] for an English lawyer who I knew was among those who had just arrived and was going to be in my practice area and

I guess it could be worse. Other friends of varying ethnicities tell me cringe-worthy stories about how people would say they were SO RELIEVED that they didn’t have an accent, or spoke in “ ‘bonics.”

Well gosh, don’t you take that at just the most genuine of compliments? They may as well pat you on the head and congratulate you for acting so white!

I think I should make my own personal holiday of yearly encounters with other people (usually white) who say things to the effect of: “you’re much smarter than I thought you were,” “you don’t speak like a Mexican,” “I’ve never met a mexican who talked so well,” and my personal favorite “you seem so well read for

My worst interviews usually start with a glowing phone interview/setup, where they are excited about my credentials and work experience. I have a very White sounding name, Welsh first name, French surname. This was done on purpose by my parents because they knew the stigma that affects resumes with black and ethnic

Flylady works if you do it every day. I decluttered my basement in a few weeks by simply NEVER going to the basement without spending five minutes decluttering. At first it seemed to not make a dent, but in a week it was better and in three or four weeks it was amazing.

I’m not sure why this popped up, but Anna Merlan, thank you, if you have provided the picture of Nellie Bly. I don’t want to share the photo, just keep a personal copy for myself. I am so delighted to see Google honor her birthday. My namesake was one of the first (woman) editors of the Denver post, my father’s great

Sometimes it’s because the clutter is distracting/taking up more time than you are willing to allow it to.

With that said, I did a lot of research on minimalism a few years ago when I wrote my master’s thesis on it. A lot of what’s “out there” on minimalism is exactly what you say. Overly focused on STUFF, and more

I wish that it was socially acceptable for men to carry purses. I always feel that way once it’s no longer coat/jacket weather and I lose those extra pockets until it gets cold again. I carry a messenger bag to work, but that’s not really something that you can take with you everywhere you go like a purse.

Just a quick tip for those looking. Upload your resume every Sunday evening, even if you don’t change anything. This resets your “new resume” flag and anyone pulling resumes will get yours as a fresh resume.

I’m a little late but here goes. I worked in a Gay Dennys in Arizona and soon after gay marriage became legal, I had the most adorable elderly couple of men, one white, one black. They were seated at the counter and had on these beautiful leis. I asked if I could feel the real flowers and asked what the occasion was.

Here’s one of my new (to me) favorites. Those dishes didn’t know what hit ‘em...

From wikipedia :

I love the saying, "those who love brutal honesty are more interested in the brutality than thr honesty".

People who are "honest" and "tell it like it is" are really just assholes.

I am laughing so hard I might go into premature labor. I so needed to see something like this today.
