I’m genuinely curious as to what kind of people would be patrons of his restaurants. I know there’s plenty of new money douchebags out there, but come on.

that same team: ‘listen to us, we got you a cheapo movie with alison brie that basically doesn’t exist, a looney tunes movie deleted for tax purposes, and argylle’

It’s absolutely infuriating how many great comedies were robbed of their chances by pushing “The Bear”, an absolutely non-comedy, in the “comedy series” category.

The Bear is a lot of things , but comedy series it is not,

Jesus Christ this industry.

No, it’s you that doesn’t understand” seems to be the default take of Nolan supporters, not the far more obvious take of “dude isn’t as clever as he thinks”.

Considering I can hardly stand Nolan at his supposed “best” (What’s with the nonstop cacophonous score and endless cross-cutting? Why is every other shot a boring closeup of someone talking in monotone?), I think I should probably stay away from this one.

Big actress, strong actress...”

Sounds very Trump-like. “He came up to me, and with tears in his eyes he said...”

I agree with all of these except for Claire. She seems cool. Like, normal person cool. Someone who doesn’t need any of Carmy’s bullshit weighing her down. So, Carmy’s the worse love interest in this case.

Ten years too late, with leads ten years too old for the roles.

Wambsgans?!

At some point, the tax benefits just can’t outweigh the massive and ongoing bad press.
