This whole thread is. Making me hyperaware of how hungry I am. My doctor has me strictly off gluten and dairy due to autoimmune issues I've had for a while. Now all I can think about is bread and butter while I try not to eat any. Thanks Jez... **sobs into gluten free, non-dairy waffles*

I've had yet to be diagnosed auto-imnune issues since I was about 11 (when puberty hit). Growing up I always had whole milk and wheat bread products. Now my doctor is telling me to cut out all gluten and dairy. It's fucking hard. Anyone who voluntarily does this is nuts. I wonder if and when they'll ever figure out

Or White Snake...

While my personal favorite band started in 1992, I will always argue that the greatest band to ever exist to date was Queen. They just are.

I mean it's not like latinos are the majority ethnicity in California or anything. . . eyeroll

Yup. Got tons of shit for it, from family mostly. My friends we're bumned not to be there then immediately happy for me. MIL still isn't over it 3 years later, but she's uber traditional (her values make the 50s sound almost modern). My parents were disappointed but understanding since they probably wouldn't have been

Yeah that seems to be a disconnect between the actual product and their marketing. I mean their main character is a princess, so I'm not sure why girls are trashing their pink princess toys in the ads...

I really wanted a set for my 4 year old niece, but after reading reviews it seemed that this was a "play it once then forget it" deal. I think I'll get her some Lego instead.

Agreed. I'm annoyed that this is being drummed up again and extra annoyed that Jezebel is very clearly biased toward GoldieBlox. They stole the song and then sued the Beasties. The toy company sued, not the band. I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees how ridiculous that is. Besides, the toys are pastel with a blonde

Yes, please. I have bipolar I (Brown has type II) and PTSD among other things and was a victim of domestic violence/emotional abuse—yet somehow I managed to not become an abuser. How odd, right?

I started between 7:20-7:30 in middle and high school. I liked getting out early? I wake up quickly though. I even did "zero period" at 6:30am senior year to get out at 1:30. I still stayed until 5 or 6 for extracurricular stuff, but I rarely got home after dark. If I'd gotten out later than 3, I'd never have had the

The Paul Ryan incident gave me a good chuckle. You have to be a special kind of dense to not know that RATM are a Republican's liberal commie nightmare.

That's ridiculous. Glad I only had to take the CBEST and CSET(s) for my teaching program.

If that info had been available when I took it, I would have done tge same. Sadly I took it the first year it was rolled out, so there was no way to know what exactly the scoring would be looking for.

Yeah I managed to get high scores on both AP English exams and a perfect score on the ACT writing portion but magically couldn't manage above an 8 (out if 12) on the SAT writing all 3 times I took it.

About damn time. The only time anyone would need to write in the style required to score well on the SAT is on the SAT. I wouldn't be entirely opposed to bringing it back if they correct the issues it currently has, but I'm happy I won't be teaching 5 paragraph, formulaic essays any more.

It seems like people really want to make the rescue the villain here, which is unfortunate since it will only make people distrustful if them and unwilling to donate. Shelters run almost solely on donations, so I honestly don't see the good in dragging Karma through the mud for this.

I tried to sing it along with the video since I know the original better than any adult should at it's wayy fast. I'm talking each line is 3 seconds too fast and it feels close to 1.5x speed... I'd be pissed.

Ugh thosr articles are terrible. They're actually blaming his MI diagnoses for his behavior. It doesn't work that way. I have bipolar I and PTSD (among other things) that went untreated until age 19, and I managed not to act out like that. A mental illness does not a terrible person make. Bipolar II doesn't usually

Lived in the LA area most of my life and my family moved to Houston after I left for college. The only similarities me or my family see is the air quality...
