Came here to say this. Very short-sighted, considering they could be off of Proof-of-Work (what mining is) to Proof-of-Stake (eliminates the need for mining) as soon as October, assuming their code works.

Someone mentioned in another post that the intro montage would make a better movie, and I agree, watching the fall of Vegas or another city would be pretty epic.

That was my impression, that it was a bunch of nutjobs that thought it would fix everything.
Actually that would’ve been more interesting to me, vs the direction I think they’re headed now.
I like SpaceX, not a fan of Musk personally, but you can’t deny their results. SpaceX constantly deploys stuff in orbit, has taken astronauts to the ISS, and has even landed their hulking prototype once.
It’s been great! Can’t wait for season 2!
Can that system be defeated though? If it could, what else should they do? At what point do you accept that it’s the fault of the driver?
