An article from 4 years ago says it would cost about $15k to replace the battery. I’m assuming it’s cheaper now, but it would be cheaper for them to pay out a settlement after a class action suit.
For what it’s worth, they’re still investigating, but on the downside, it’s looking like they’ll have to replace the whole battery - though that hasn’t been completely determined.

To expand on this, I took Taekwondo, and at our tournaments, they’d say “no contact,” but if you didn’t make at least light contact, you weren’t getting the point.
