“It’s the only place where girls get to make the decisions.” I love that, sold!

We have friends whose daughters are Girl Scouts so I’ll let her talk to them and see what she thinks. I have a feeling she’ll lean more towards the GS since I’ve pretty much taught her girls rule and boys drool (in a totally nice and respectful way, obvi).
Thank you for this! I reached out to the council yesterday and hopefully get a call back today with more info.
I appreciate your two cents :) While I’d like my daughter, and all girls, to feel comfortable being around boys and having a voice around them, I do think there’s something to be said for them having something just for them. I reached out to GS yesterday and I will have to start a troop myself, which I guess isn’t the…
Thank you, it does help! Talking it over with my husband last night, he brought up the fact that maybe our girl would get more out of it since, like you said, I’d be leading the troop. I hadn’t even thought of that!
Imma jump in here and ask for input since I have a situation that’s sort of related to the article.
“Taylor Swift Now Wants to Stay Included in the Kanye West Narrative” because her album sucks, no one is attending her stupidass tour, and she needs attention.
Mariah, Judy Garland, Frank from Trading Spaces. The answer to every question would be “Let’s add a little rooster”
Hrm, if anything she should have played up on how much they spoil her. Gone overboard with making everything about Blue, you know? Btw, I’m not implying that spoiling the BIC is a bad thing, just that you know she gets the best of everything she wants.
I haven’t seen the episode but when I saw RuPaul’s IG post presenting the Snatch Game contestants, I had a feeling it was going to be ten layers of messy disappointment. The only way someone can pull off Beyonce in Snatch Game is if they’re not a member of the Beyhive. You have to be able to laugh at some of Beyonce’s…
Yes, the idea of a “man’s man” is mostly a conservative one but I’ve encountered liberals who give into this. I live in Austin and have two daughters. We met up with a new friend and her son for a play date, a woman who is extremely left, and when her son saw my daughters, he yelled out “I HATE PLAYING WITH GIRLS!”…
Man, I didn’t even think of that. You are so right!
I’m a big Kanye supporter but my husband asked me the same question earlier this week and I didn’t have an answer. Like, I could not come up with a single idea. I admitted as much and we moved on. Kanye is making it so hard to love him!
Maybe but I have two kids, a five and three year old, and this still doesn’t seem right to me. My three year old still sleeps in our bed and when we want to get busy, we go to another room. It really isn’t that hard to, like, not fuck next to a child, sleeping or not.
“I’m not usually a pearl clutcher, but I was out on SMILF when she had sex with her baby in the bed.”
“If FIVE black people were telling me that what I’d said was racist, I’d sit the fuck down and listen.”
If you can get a white person to understand what coded language is, hats off to you. Even the most well-meaning liberal white person says problematic shit and they fall back on “Well, you know that’s not what I meant!” and then you get to hear about poor little white person and how nobody understands them and blah…
Harry Anderson died?! I was just telling my husband how much I loved “Night Court” when I was a kid!
Her face does look a little different but I can’t pinpoint exactly what it is and I think she even said that in her post. Maybe it was an accident, maybe it was insecurity, maybe (and more likely, let’s be real) it was not what she expected when she went in for her routine lift. I am not judging!!!!
Same here. I generally find performance art eyeroll worthy but I fully admit I’ve never taken the time to learn about it or the motivation behind most of it. I, however, appreciate that it exists and that there are people out there who for whom it does something.
