Some of those are more "tablet games" than "mobile games", in that they're near unplayable if you're trying to play them with a phone-sized screen. I think Ridiculous Fishing and Plague Inc are fine, but really overrated by most people I hear talk about them.

Jesus, 3 or 4 dozen? By all means, list them off. I have a hard time thinking of 10 that I think are really worth recommending to my friends.

Use your phone to check the internet and social media.

Freddie Wong does humourous Youtube videos with some considerable CG special effects for the low budget that he and his partners have.

I'm sure if their studio were twice as big and not split up into a bunch of smaller teams all working on different projects (Broken Age, Massive Chalice, other unannounced stuff), and a publisher wanted to give them like 30 million dollars, Tim wouldn't mind doing that.

Felicia Day going "Ugh, table flip" was the cutest thing ever.

Also, for a game that is largely recycled ideas and art, the updates are criminally slow, by which I mean "there are none". After 6 months, they haven't added anything major to the game. All they did was strip out the stupid keys, and add the giant zombies back in.

True, but it's real scummy that a sizable number of plants and upgrades are literally unobtainable unless you give them money. Locking basic things like another plant slot and the Snowpea behind a paywall sucks. It would've been nice if they cost a huge sum of coins, so I'd actually have some use for all of these

Yeah, it continues to be a bummer.

OK, yeah, that's the scenario I was thinking of.

Yeah, but saying "Nintendo wants their platforms to be more like Sony's Crossplay system" isn't nearly as sensational as "more like iOS".

Hahaha, yeah, I'm also looking forward to this magical future utopia where Nintendo figures out how the internet works and that you should tie software purchases to an account instead of the individual piece of hardware.

I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of apps and games for which that is not true. You could certainly transfer it from iPhone to iPhone if necessary, but some games have to be purchased again to get the iPad version, do they not? Or have they done away with that?

Sure, it makes sense.

I read it more as "More future games will be like Smash Bros., in that they will come out for both 3DS and Wii U". Maybe?

I think the current phrasing of the headline is wildly misleading. Iwata talking about a greater emphasis on cross-compatibility of handheld and console is really not tantamount to Iwata saying "Our platforms should be like iOS".

Yeah, I've been expecting Ground Zeroes to pretty much be the MGS2 Tanker.

I'm not saying it was aliens.

I've never heard someone use "Metroid Prime" to mean "3D Metroid", but if that's what you meant, then sure, we're on the same page. They should make another go of a 3D Metroid game.

I liked Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, but it had its flaws.
