It may have been the worst film, but for similar reasons, it is the most video gamey James Bond movie ever made.

That is wild. Never would've guessed that game would have that much impact on people even now, several years after it came out.
More like Shut Up and Jam Gaiden.
You must be new. Your question comes off as accusatory in nature, when Kotaku is pretty open about being an aggregator of gaming stories and other items of interests from sources across the internet. So yes, of course they get things from Reddit. This is a useful service, because not everyone can spend half their day…
Wow, really? That was your biggest failure? Not, say, your inability to make MadWorld interesting to play? Despite trying so hard to be wacky and nuts, your actions in that game are so repetitive that playing the game becomes tedious almost immediately.
May I recommend punctuation?
And fine, if you want to have a proper debate, I disagree with you because your Tetris example was an absurd slippery slope that isn't going to happen. Loosening up the term "roguelike" to include games like Spelunky, The Binding of Isaac, and FTL doesn't suddenly rob the term of any distinct meaning. It just no…
It was more of a helpful recommendation after pointing out the irrelevance of everything you said.
The video is funny largely because of how TERRIBLE the animation is. It seems like he only moved the hands around while animating, so everybody looks like they're in Team America, making it unintentionally awesome.
Oh yeah, because Metroid Prime Trilogy had such a lengthy print run.
Why yes, if you blatantly disregard the meanings of various terms, you could conclude that Tetris is a roguelike.
It's...nothing like Thriller...at all. It's not meant to be related to the zombie in PvZ who does the Thriller dance.
"Also, I think 'roguelike' implies more than just random levels, permanent death, and turn-based"
I think they made it pretty clear that they're not suddenly going to be creating a new development studio together, at least not anytime soon. They're not young men with something to prove anymore. They have families, and it seems their interests have expanded beyond the games industry (for the time being, at the very…
I actually just finished that game a few days ago. I thought it was weird that some cases were related to his master plan in really subtle ways (the concert one in particular was a sneaky connection), but the second case with the Yakuza family and Phoenix in the hospital has literally nothing to do with anything.
*SPOILERS* Trucy still has a mommy, technically. Who knows if Trucy ever ended up living with her or stayed with Phoenix, though.
Seriously, why is the contrast so fucked in those screenshots in the article?
Default form-fitting harlequin bodysuit still not sexed up enough? I know, let's have her thong ride above her waistline and have her dress in a bunch of tight, trashy leather clothing.
What is the point of asking developers questions in interviews along the lines of "Did you enjoy [game in a series you used to make that another studio is now making]?"
