What’s been successful? VS is in the middle of a sales slump that’s lasted for at least 4 years, and there’s no reason to think things are going to turn around any time soon. It’s a shitty business strategy to think that what worked for you 10-30 years ago will always continue to work. Retail is an adapt or die

Maybe don’t use the term “adult breasts” since women can have breasts of all sizes.

Ladies! Vera Wang’s intimates collection for Kohl’s. Because it’s Kohl’s, it’s *always* on sale, so I can usually get one for $20-35, depending on how good of a coupon/sale I’ve got going on. They’re basically a better version of Body by Victoria. Light padding - not enough to give you anything “extra,” just enough to

Her dress was my favorite part, the white gave me a little anxiety though but she made the right choice.

...you do realize preferences in fashion often change every decade or so? If not sooner? If this was still as successful as ever, there wouldn’t be an article about it. The reality is, VS built their brand on a definition of “sexy” that is more 00s than modern.

Not fat girl panties (ewww I hate the word panties), but underwear for actual humans with actual human butts.

Those pads are comically large. When the nurse brought those out to send home with me I seriously thought it was a joke, or I was on some hospital-themed reality show. And then I realized what they were for, and why they actually did need to be that big. The Horror. So yeah, no white dress up in here.

As long as she picked them, I am cool with it. She wore heels all through her pregnancy, and as crazy as it sounds, there are plenty of women who wear heels so often that they feel more comfortable in them (I know women whose calves hurt when they switch to flats!).

And feminist dads!

True, but I’d imagine she wasn’t wearing that dress for more than 30 minutes or so. And I doubt she ever sat down in it.

Boys need feminist moms too!

I LOLed. Not to take away from Meghan’s badassery, but I’m sure you could have done the same thing with a team and a glam squad. <3

This is likely the first time she’s put on shoes since giving birth, and didn’t realize they’d swell more when she left the house.

She seems like the kind of woman who’s really concerned with having a specific type of image, and probably feels kind of not great about the way she looks right now. I don’t mean that in a judgemental way, either. But I bet the heels were her choice and something that helped her feel more ready to face the public.

Wow.
Meghan, 2 days after giving birth: walks red carpet in heels and white dress, graciously speaks to the press, smiles.
Me, 2 days after giving birth: gingerly rolls body off bed, stumbles barefoot into bathroom, sees reflection in mirror, bursts into tears.

I’m a little sad she didn’t come out in some cute flats, or at least a lower heel. Those shoes are ambitious. And you can see her feet swelling out of them, poor girl.

Literally can’t remember the last time I bought a bra from VS. Once you are a woman with adult breasts and a job that requires movement of any sort, bra construction, support, and quality actually start to matter.  Then you realize that paying $50 for a “sexy” poorly engineered piece of shit maybe isn’t in your best

This is adorable and I love that she’s “allowed” to look appropriately post-partum. I mean, she looks amazing and not for a million dollars could I have made that walk in those heels two days after giving birth, but her dress is not designed to hide the fact that she’s just spent nearly a year making a whole new

I agree with all of this, and I adore your username.

They look ecstatic. This is very, very cute. I know all babies are wonderful. But is it strange that I’m a little disappointed Meghan and Harry’s first child isn’t a girl? For some reason, I just kind of assumed they would have a girl. Harry seems like the kind of man who would be thrilled to father a girl - and
