I think a lot of the movie bashing comes from the fact that the original book was a big homage to the 80s and the movie is all about 90s/2000s, so to me personally, it’s to big of a departure for me and I’m not interested in it at all.

Thank you! I LOVED the original book and have read it multiple times. I get this is supposed to appeal to a wider generation, but I really dug all of the 80s references.
I get and agree with your point is all of the games except for your gripe about Odyssey.
The only thing about this explanation that bothers me is why Super Saiyans are so rare and legendary on planet Vegeta. If they all have S-Cells, then should at least a few Super Saiyans exist? You are telling me a warrior race never got angry enough to transform?
Why would anyone care about sports players/stats besides super sports nerds? Especially when none of that matters besides the end result of a win or loss?
I always saw it as similar to the comic Invincible. In it, the main character(named Mark)’s dad is basically Superman and Mark is half human half other race(Viltrumite). But he gets powers and will be just as strong as his dad because the DNA of humans is very similar and the Viltrumite DNA is naturally aggressive so…
But... isn’t most anime/manga making up nonsense? Bleach, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, and One Piece are all nonsense that gets more and more ridiculous as it goes. That’s why I don’t get why people are making a big deal about him making stuff up.
It’s tepulsive to YOU. Just straight writing it up as repulsive is being pretty closed minded. To quote the article above: “what works for one person can completely ruin the experience for another.”
Ok, maybe not a great analogy, but the best I could think of off the top of my head.
Well, to be the smartass, paralysis is technically, by definition, a “lack of self control”. Lol
Your first paragraph is excatly What hits home. I never considered myself to have an addictive personality, but I played a mobile game and bought a few things here and there. Then I bought more. And more. By the time I realized it was a problem, it was too late. It’s been an uphill battle to get myself out of it.
You are right, plenty of alcoholics avoid bars. And plenty of gamblers avoid casinos. But, picture this: you are an alcoholic who avoids bars, but you come home to a fridge fully stocked with beers and a roommate/significant other saying, “come on, one can’t hurt”.
My god, you’re right!! Why has no one ever told alcoholics to “just stop drinking”? Or smokers to “just stop buying cigarettes”? Or cocain users to “not buy drugs”? You could win a Nobel prize for this buddy!
I was laughing at the cream corn chip because you pretty much described what regular cream corn tastes like. As someone who loves cream corn, it would be interesting to see how close it actually tastes to the original thing.
I still have all three TMNT games for the NES and I was so obsessed with them. I remember being a hero in school because I could beat the dam/underwater level without dying.
I bought it for PS4 day one and I love it. But has anyone else had a problem where the sound makes a popping sound and the Dealer’s dialogue seems to skip and stutter?
First of all, they give you different weapons that all feel a little different. There are dual daggers, Sword/shield, and heave weapons. And each one has advantages to certain enemies.
I was hoping to see this in the article. This is the only MMO that I ever actually played long term. Wandering around and seeing all of the famous landmarks(I will never forget exploring Weathertop fro the first time) and the skirmishes kept it interesting. I have so many fond memories of that game.
Except for the fact that they also left messages for each other in their phone when switching. Even detailed notes like when she got the date for him and left links and stuff. So they had a lot of contact other than switching bodies.
I was actually really excited to hear this news.......until I heard it was being done by Niantic. Now I won’t even go near it. Pokémon Go was such a let down and was handled so poorly that I’m never doing anything Niantic related again.
