Personally I'm surprised the developer even took the chance. Apple has been fairly vocal on their policies regarding adult content, and I believe Google also removes adult apps from their Play store.

I totally agree. But I think I was more caught off by the characters and (the little bit of ) storyline that was shown, rather than gameplay. I'm not sure what I expected, this being an open world game. I guess just not the cast of colorful characters and the main enemy and what not that are reminiscent of GTA games.…

I find GTA's brand of humor lately to be a bit dated and too on-the-nose and more or less cringe inducing... So I think I'm fine with the idea of GTA without the humor.

Yeah, but a lot of GTA's charm and appeal comes from the fact that it doesn't take itself too seriously. Watch Dogs seems to be taking itself way too seriously.

I for one do. Publicizing that it's a good thing for women to stand up for themselves, and that they don't have to be passive and accept all the sexual harassment that is thrown at them, is a good thing. It helps women who see it, empower them to also stand up for themselves.
