The Federal Trade Commission would probably have some pretty strong opinions about this if anyone cared to lodge a complaint

Totally. If transferring data were as simple as swapping out the sd card, I would buy one of these right away. But Nintendo always makes taking my money so hard for themselves
We know the Xbox Scorpio is a ways off, but the PS4.5 (or neo, or whatever) hasn’t been given a release date. What was your feeling about when that’s going to be available and will it be worth it?
Pop-pop-tarts?
I think the problem is that the system is too open. IRL, a curator is a person who has had years of study and training and uses that to showcase and preserve important/interesting cultural artifacts. If Valve wants to have curators, that should be their role, and they probably need to be paid by Valve.
Which is why code monkeys should unionize
She likes doing these escalation gags, and I find them hilarious. It’s similar to the gag in the Friday Night Lights sketch a few weeks ago where her wine glass kept getting bigger and bigger until she was basically carrying around a bucket
They better blow way way way past that $270K, because that seems way too low for what they’re proposing here. If gaming kickstarters have taught anything, it’s that making games is EXPENSIVE. And a lot of their stretch goals are more content, which means mission-creep leading to cost overruns and delays is a definite…
Seeing Lucas in Smash, and hearing the remixed tunes from Mother 3... Why can’t Mother 3 be localized?! Please Nintendo, don’t just bring Lucas over, we want Boney and Kumatora and Duster and Flint and the whole damn Nowhere Islands!
Maybe the WSJ article was "not based on correct information" because it's actually a live-action Tingle series?
This list has met with a terrible fate, hasn't it
Not A Good Match For: The easily stressed, those who hate having a time constraint, anyone who didn't like it the first time around.
I just have a hard times believing that we can't accept DOA for what it is. We can't seem to 'OWN' our own game, if you all understand what I mean. It may seem like a minor thing - but it will project the idea of "Wow, look at those DOA fans - embarrassed about their own game."
I get that (a lot of the time, I don't understand these comics/find them amusing), but better for explanations to come from sincerely started threads than from a troll. Either that or Fahey/someone else can pre-emptively post explanations in the comments
Mr. Poutine posts "didn't get it" about every comic every week. I wouldn't recommend replying to him. Don't feed, etc.
Series creator Tomonobu Itagaki's departure from Tecmo in 2008 was a ray of hope for Dead or Alive fans tired of the series' over-sexualized image. He was the father of the DOA bounce, often referring to the female characters of the series as his daughters.
What if Kickstarter donations were investments? Like if you invest enough you actually share in the profit
The budget- and time-management skills needed for game development I think make it difficult to accurately assess the risk of game development. Physical kickstarters can run into delays, but once the design is finalized, and manufacturing and supply chains are set up, you're gonna get your thing. It might not be a…
All of these failed campaigns, along with stuff like Godus, and to a certain extent Broken Age suggest that Kickstarter is ill-suited for something like game development. There's no mechanism for keeping a studio on a budget, and there's not really a legal contract between backers and a studio like there is between a…
