Having to record two different sets of Hyah! Hyet! Yaaah! would definitely strain Nintendo's resources
From a corporate point of view, being able to say "Metacritic gave us X" seems better because there's math and algorithms involved, so it sounds impressive. No company would (or should) give Kotaku's review that much weight because it's just one review. But from where I stand, I can give that review a lot of weight.…

Numbers are also bad because they don't describe the work at all, and they promote baseless comparisons between unrelated works. What does it mean for "Assassin's Creed IV: Really Assassin's Creed VI" to be an 8, or a 9? That tells me nothing about how fun it is to sail around in a pirate ship, or how frustrating…
I do not, however, think they expected this. No one expected this.
I think Nintendo realizes they could make money in the mobile market, but doing so would (I think) damage their brand in two ways
For a team like the Patriots, you gotta grab those shirts while you can. It's not like they've been to the Super Bowl before, and who knows when they'll be back...
I understood it as the magic system *graphics* being unfinished, but he was a little vague on that point. Im sure (I sure hope!) they locked down the mechanics a while ago
Since Ubisoft and EA have had such success with their barely-playable(TM) editions, I thought that more AAA games would be switching over. Doing "everything we [can] to limit any bugs to a level that will allow you to enjoy the game thoroughly" is so old-fashioned
You definitely missed the best parts. If all you saw was the first half, then I can understand how you found it awful. You really should go back and watch the whole thing. It's only 11 minutes long, so you don't really need that much perseverance
So can we assume that Kotaku won't be receiving advance review copies of any Ubisoft game for the foreseeable future?
Once patches get past ~1GB, devs should just start overnighting USB drives to everyone. It'll be faster and transferring 2GB over USB3.0 takes all of 60 sec.
2.1GB seems like a lot. Was there no way to further compress that, or make sure they were just patching the broken bits? (Unless the broken bits were the whole damn game, which would be even worse)
I would also include other Japanese devs in that as well: Square Enix, Atlus, Nintendo, Suda51... When they release a game it just works. (Now watch FFXV come out and require massive patches on day one...)
While this ghost girl went on to appear on Japanese marketing materials for Pokémon, her inclusion didn't seem to lead anywhere. Oh, but players have theories. Since the eerie girl typically says "no, you're not the one," some players mused that perhaps she was looking for a specific trainer ID. Or maybe she appears…
I want my cart to be literally made of sapphire
Yeah, I always assumed the male character just had white hair and wore like a black headband, or something
Now this would have been a sweet redesign. I'm especially upset with what Sonic Boom did to his shoes—those bright red shoes are key, and they ruined them
Play II, Brotherhood, and Revelations. mmmmaybe continue on to III if you feel the need to find out what happens with Desmond, et al. I've heard IV is fun, but I haven't played that one (yet)
