Shogun is technically “FX on Hulu” yet they still air the episodes on the cable channel. I don’t think there’s any rhyme or reason to any of it.

In the trailer she boasts “I can be any woman” while looking the same in all her spy IDs. You, ma’am, are no Elizabeth Jennings!

the all-consuming power of an Elisabeth Moss close-up shot.”

Near as I can tell, this is not on FX, but on “FX on Hulu.” That means it is only on streaming (Hulu), not cable (FX). I wish they would stop doing this and just either say it is either on Hulu or FX. This isn’t the first time I have seen AV Club get it wrong and it isn’t only this site that does. The trailer doesn’t

Spoken like someone who doesn’t want to see Jon Voight’s erection.

I saw this movie and found it to be not that entertaining. It was for the most part uneventful and drifted in and out of being background noise. Kit does play a big role, but he’s not the main star. I would say he’s briefly in the first act and second act, and then mostly in final act of the film. However, when he’s

Same.

HAHAHAHA six movie trilogy sounds exactly like something he would say.

He loves them, but they are not serious burgers.

They’re really sticking it to that Napoleon guy again. He must work there or something.

Which was so strange considering the Italian accents in the Ezio games.

Napoleon wasn’t even French! He was a native speaker of Corsican, basically a dialect of Italian, and never really spoke French without an Italian accent (a bit like how Stalin spoke Russian with a Georgian one).

Maybe it’s just boat captains?

I know I once said the opposite, but I think “not bothering with an accent” is for the best. If you want the actors to “sound accurate,” then they should speak the language the character spoke.

I think any time Brian Cox goes on a tirade about other actors or films, people should just remind him that he does McDonalds commercials.  I get it, the man has to eat and likes to remodel his homes.  But you can’t complain about high art while hocking hamburgers

Ubisoft ran into the same problem when they made the Assassin’s Creed game about the French Revolution. For some reason they went with giving everyone an English accent, despite being a company based in Paris. It was... not good.

I am a huge Ridley Scott fan but this was pretty mediocre. It simultaneously was too long and yet skimmed over huge chunks of Napoleon’s life without giving much historical context for you to hang onto. Of course the big spectacle scenes were phenomenal and a lot of it was entertaining, but....it had issues. Without

It was a kinda bad. I don’t necessarily mind the take that Napoleon was pathetic but I couldn’t tell if it was supposed to be a comedy or not. I kinda wished Scott had made it more like Hulu’s The Great but I am not sure he is capable!

Don’t forget Garfield! (Meeting Jesus on a Sunday suits him just fine, at least it’s not on a Monday...)

(Lorenzo Music voice) “I hate crucifixions.”
