This episode was hilarious.

Also are there others who are kind of apprehensive about the bigger budget?

The Bill Cosby joke OH MY GOD.

- Holt wishes the sky was "tan" instead of blue. "It's a no nonsense colour."

The valley girl Ba-yeeeeee kills me every time, in every show.

Good god, just stop.

Yep

NOoooooo
what

Pretty sure the guy who plays Rafael isn't latino

I'll be honest, I'm more excited for a Mohelio reunion than a Jane/Michael reunion.

Yeah, I didn't enjoy it very much either but it was funny at times.

Ok, my bad, I agree with you! I thought you were kind of taking the line literally like a lot of people seem to do.

Before her TV show, she released a movie called Tiny Furniture in which she tackles the same themes - there's a scene in the movie where her characters mother calls her out for being entitled and narcissistic. She's self aware. Why is that so hard to believe given the actual dialogue of the show from the first scene

She was high on drugs while she said it…think you kinda missed the joke there.

She has not defended the white washing with "Oh all the white people of my class never hang out with white people" - she has said the lack of diversity was a mistake, not intentional.

I'm not going to defend the white washing - the white washing was not part of the satire and Lena Dunham has explicitly said many times that she regrets the lack of diversity. But that doesn't mean that the show wasn't satirical and the "recalibrated" it to become one.

No. It was satirical from the beginning, despite the PR, I guess. There is an emotional core obviously but the very first scene literally is Hannah complaining that her parents were cutting her off after 3 years of college and that they should be grateful she wasn't addicted to pills.

What pond? Seriously, money was never a huge problem for these people. It was the fact that despite all the support, they seemed unable to get their shit together.
Girls is NOT a show about regular ~millenials~, it's about rich ones. It pokes fun at their self indulgence and their inability to see beyond themselves.

I don't think it ever was - their parents could send over money if they needed. Their money problems were quite superficial tbh. Most people don't have that safety net.
