I think you have it backwards. There was a time when the janitor got a decent salary and full benefits. A janitor could, for instance, take advantage of their company’s tuition assistance and work their way up to the executive level.

ah, so you are a temporarily embarrassed millionaire then who can’t see the limitations placed on your life.

What has been invented cannot be uninvented.

Iced coffee does it so I’m guessing it’s not just heat (not a fan of hot drinks).

Man, now I’m flashing back to vanilla Everquest, where you had to level up specific schools of magic.  Just learned your first Conjuration spell to create your own food/drink?  Enjoy burning through 5 full bars of mana until you can reliably cast it even half the time.  Oh, and mana recovery required staring at your

Having tried both pirate and legit ‘classic’ versions of my choice MMORPGs with old guildmates...the problem for us older gamers isn’t quite so much that we want the social/difficulty/grind of the old games, but more that we want the kind of free time we had back when we could play those games. 40-60 hours a week free

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

My SO is an ER nurse in a metro area, and their biggest headache (other than addicts trying to scam opiates) is the ER being used for primary care.

In Switzerland, basic private health insurance is required by law for all citizens and insurers are required to offer it to everyone regardless of age oe medical conditions.  Insurers aren’t allowed to profit off these policies.

When people are a combination of uninformed and unable to pay premiums *and* healthcare costs, it’s no wonder that the ER is where people end up when things get that bad.

Mrs. Godzooks is a Level 1 ER trauma nurse at a fantastic hospital in a major metropolis. Here, the ER is gummed up by doctors performing unnecessary tests, doctors who REFUSE to work hard and see patients, drug seekers, young party people with stomach aches, and people who should not be using the ER for primary care.

Get the fuck out of here with your facts about the happiest countries having elements of socialism. There’s no place for this in Trump’s America.

Somehow, the sun dying doesn’t strike me as an event with galaxy-wide repercussions.

Your Kit-Kat bar’s must be different then the ones I buy.

Back alleys? How gauche.

I don’t think you can get pregnant that way.
