They *can't* ask you for your social network passwords legally... it opens up a huge H.R. nightmare for any private or public company - your social network account may contain information that you are not supposed to be asked about legally: marital status, sexual orientation, etc. etc. etc...

Volume license windows + windows deployment services = your job just got easy.

My daughter put our 100 yr old cast iron pan in the dishwasher... it was in its third generation and my wife loves to use it. This may actually save it.

oh my god... must get steak - NOW!

So let me understand this... Symantec wants me to put my passwords into a mobile app that synchronizes with their servers? Are we talking about the same Symantec who took six years to report a breach of security that compromised their source code?

I had purchased a USB corded ultra-thin Mac keyboard to use on my desktop (I think it was due to MacBook envy - my wife got a MCP for the holiday from me... :).

And sealed means you will be cleaning them less often - I highly recommend the garbage can cleaning solution at home depot or other hardware stores. It's an organic slurry that really de-nasty-fies your garbage cans.

Many places you may not be able to get the electric company to give you an adjustable rate power bill. In my location, I would have to ask the power company and they would replace my meter with one that can track time of day. I spent $45 a piece on good rubbermaid garbage cans with solid locking lids to keep them shut. Many people would think I was crazy for spending $90 on garbage cans - but something that I use daily and drag to the curb weekly is worth the cost if they work well. Too many wind storms spent chasing garbage around my yard

The storage engineer in me looks at the price... and tries to associate their hardware in the data center that's holding it all. At $800... a five year old gateway desktop with some 1TB IDE hard drives sitting in a third rate colo rack in the basement of some telco building built in the '50's.

AT&T rolled unlimited mobile to mobile calling to any cell provider into their unlimited texting when it's part of a family plan. That right there pays for itself with the reduction in minutes my daughter spends calling her friends' non-att phones. Sucks to be them... but it's not my bill I have to worry about now.

And you, sir, would have made HP great.

Give up or fight?

Use an ADSL filter... then you'll be safe.
