I love that they say “we’re looking into ways to support offline” as if supporting offline is more work than forcing always-online.

It is hard for a company to turn down paying customers, though.

I think games writers have a MASSIVE blind-spot when it comes to this stuff, because it’s their job. E3 is not the same to Luke here as it is to normal consumers.

No joke, I only come to these sites anymore because of muscle memory. I removed my bookmarks, but sometimes I click the address bar and my fingers just type “ko” and then I’m here. Same with io9, which is even worse. Way worse.

The “Hit” in “one hit wonder” refers to success, not one’s personal feelings on it.  And there were 2, the second one being the more successful and popular. So it can’t be a one hit wonder, by definition.
