TV is a nickname and nicknames are for friends and television is no friend of his.

I guess I’m a network.

My favorite rom-com is early 90s indie Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me which is all but forgotten despite starring Adrienne Shelly (and featuring Sean Young, Dianne Ladd, and Timothy Leary). Probably because it’s delightfully tasteless.

I had assumed Netflix locked in long term licensing contracts before making shows based on preexisting IP (see also, The Dark Crystal). Kind of surprised to see them leaving. It’d be kind of funny to see Amazon Prime or whoever hype The Dark Crystal in January just to create some brand confusion.

I chonk-clicked.

“Swerve the Reeping” is a good entry point.

I prefer Utopia and its flutes, but I can say that mixing Vulnicura and Blackstar is a MOOD.

The Caretaker makes me feel like I’m dying, but in a good way.

They’re good records Bill_Mt

I’m picturing Cthulhu running affirmations in the mirror like Stuart Smalley.

The sad thing about MLMs is that once you’ve commoditized those friendships you’ve effectively poisoned that well and isolated yourself. There’s a lot of non-monetary value in support systems that’s just pissed away for a fantasy.

SHRIMMMMMMMMMM

I would real the hell out of a Magary and Teti sports blog.

Oh man, I really love “Simplicity is Beautiful” off of Only Everything. I feel like her sound is more relevant than a lot of her contemporaries (see Snail Mail or Girl Ray).

I assumed was that it’s an occasional reminder of the squid attack so that humans don’t work their way back to nuclear standoffs; like dropping a propaganda leaflet.

Niiiiiiiiice.

I think a lot of people suspect that the service will dip when the new waiter knows he’s only getting 20% of dessert and coffee. But let’s be real: it ruins the class dynamic some customers enjoy indulging (I mean, it would never happen at Per Se).
