Well at least the CGI and compositing is vastly improved over season 2. I remember the scene in which Dany burns the warlock as being particularly crummy looking (compared to the effects this season).
This is off-topic, but the episode's scenes with Dany's dragons coupled with Bran meeting Treebeardo made me think that Bran's going to be able to control Drogon and thus help win the war (hence the reference to Bran flying).
