One of the things I love most about this community is the immediate cry of “unrealistic!!!!” and subsequent delineations of the whys and wherefores for a satire movie that’s essentially “honey, my dad shrunk himself”. I’m still smiling at these comments as they warm my nerdy little heart.

Really interesting points here. Do you think if the show was more true to Ollie’s comic book politics, it would/could be potentially better? Quick aside: How do you feel about the ways “Timeless” addressed issues of history, US, and race?

Bravo Marvel! See?! You *can* tell good stories without making it a whole big faux-event mess. Have I be waiting for this one! First, a tremendous sci-fi talent at the helm. Lovely story. Well told. Second, I love the instant relationship and rapport between Ngozi and the symbiote. Third, the creative take on the

Great list. Also, while ‘66 gave us the Batusi, TAS gave us a singing Batman, a feat Kevin Conroy should be knighted for!

He went “full breitbart”. Never go “full breitbart” son.

It may seem pedantic, but I’m not a fan of “insane” or “crazy” as a descriptor as I feel it maligns those with actual mental health issues.

“He was right that Democrats needed to strengthen our focus on working families and there’s a danger of spending too much time courting donors because of our insane [sic] campaign finance system. He also engaged a lot of young people in the political process for the first time, which is extremely important. But I

“#81 Three painted boxes filled with various small trinkets and children’s books”
Proof positive that there WILL be books in the Drumpf Libary! Bet the fake-news-drive-by-mainstream-media-liberal-eliets won’t cover this!!!!1

Good Lorde, you weren’t kidding! Hey kids! Some hack said something on Cable Politics Shouting Show (TM). He actually said it, so it’s verified, so it must be true. PLZ STAHP trying mom and dad. This is the #pokemongovote of social media.

Aaaaaand it’s already been hacked and isn’t loading (as of Monday). Jeebus this is just...embarrassing. I’m already worried for 2018.

Admittedly, I’m a sucker for this kind of thing. Like when Marvel put out Derek Storm graphic novels by “Richard Castle” or those super cool Jedi/Sith/Bounty Hunter book sets?

with a soupcon of Handwavium I expect.

see? was that so hard Marvel? just a little prologue et voila! It’s like they’re not even trying anymore with their big name stuff. How can some titles (like Cage or Ms. Marvel) be done so well and the basic stuff like this be done so poorly?

Quick clarification question: what’s the pretext for the time travel in the Marvel generations one-shots? With so many events and crossovers and whatnot, have I missed something or is this just “timey-wimey” stuff?

Finally the Ol’ Parker Luck is back! Spider-Stark was a rare Slott miscue (though the Clone Saga stuff was cool). Now, it’s time to bribe whoever is needed to get One Moar Day annulled.

I almost entirely skipped this event (and I actually dig Spencer). DC’s “Metal” event is promising although it could easily just devolve into EEEEVVVVVILLL Batmans!!!! Secret Empire and CW2:Electric Boogaloo sucked bigly because they forgot the “so what” factor that the House of Ideas thrives on.
And they can still do

Yeah, I feel that. Got me off most of my books as well. I’m only doing Ms. Marvel, Cage, and Defenders right now. The whole imprint has pretty much been glorified mini or limited-series for about four years now. Not boycotting but way limited. Things are so bad I’ve even been checking out *gasp* DC (especially

Why boycotting Marvel? Apart from crappy events? Is it a Disney thing? Or that time their Vice President popped off?

What I’ve been calling the “Wu-Tang Dragon Cave Beatdown Jamboree” was the highlight of the Defenders for me. It bought together Danny and Luke and Jess while giving the scene the edge and energy it needed.
A more “cinematic” score would have played off waaay more corny. A gritty soundtrack for our grittiest heroes.

The best thing about Defenders was the Wu-Tang Dragon Monster Cave Super Rumble. It’s the best superheroing Netflix has done and It’s not even close. Fight me. I yelled at the screen more than any other series including, “Superbestfriends share dumplings!” and “Daughters of the Dragon Mothafukkas!!!!!”
